10 May Meet Lila Jackson!
Lila Jackson is the newest addition to Hearing Charities of America (HCOA), and is the organization’s Hearing Aid Project Administrator.
She is responsible for managing and overseeing the Hearing Aid Project in its entirety. A few of her duties include recruiting audiologists, processing applications and assisting recipients through their journey in obtaining life changing hearing aids.
Lila began her exciting journey at HCOA on April 16, 2018. Before coming to HCOA, she studied health information technology at National American University, and became a certified nursing assistant at Kansas City Area Tech. In addition to having a deep rooted background in healthcare, she is also a certified medical assistant at the Kansas City School of Phlebotomy.
Before teaming up with the Hearing Aid Project, Lila worked as a Pharmacy Benefits Manager for Aetna, and as a Health Information Technologist for a private family practice in Leawood, Kansas.
When Lila is not working hard she can be found spending time with her family — including her two children, a son who is 18-years-old and a daughter who is 13-years-old.
Lila also enjoys partaking in home renovations and has a natural love for embroidery. She says her hobbies bring her peace of mind and happiness, and that she’s looking forward to bringing others the same feeling through her work.
“I’m looking forward to making a difference and helping people in need receive clinical services and hearing aids,” Lila said. “I’m excited to gain hands on experience and work with passionate people!”
